Radek Stupak is a PhD student in Psychology at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. He is interested in the history and philosophies relating to psychiatry and psychology, spirituality in psychology, as well as qualitative methodology.

He believes that even though psychiatric drugs may be helpful for some, they are currently vastly overprescribed, often leading to dependence and serious harm. Moreover, the efficacy of many drugs is routinely falsely overstated in media campaigns, while the real risks are downplayed or even dismissed. Unfortunately, even though the risks and harms associated with prolonged benzodiazepine and z-drug use are now very well documented and acknowledged, there are many doctors who are still unaware of this.

Radek has published scientific papers in Polish, English and Russian and presented at conferences in several countries. He serves as an International Representative and Member of the Executive Board for the International Society of Critical Health Psychology.
