Rafael and Angela Medalla, from Hicksville, have teamed up as the W-BAD State Representatives for New York. They are caregivers to a family member who was made severely ill from iatrogenic benzodiazepines damage followed by a slew of other psychiatric drugs prescribed to treat the benzodiazepine tolerance, toxicity, and withdrawal effects. For this reason, they are passionate about iatrogenic benzodiazepine awareness activism.
As a husband and wife team of runners, they are using their talent for running to bring awareness to the W-BAD cause.
