Today 5 women (+ 1 ‘hubby’) stood up for truth in the belly of the beast. Longwood medical area, a small concentrated stretch, is home to many prominent Boston hospitals, universities and medical institutions where every day over 110k people visit. How were we received in handing out W-BAD material there? The response was overwhelmingly positive, more than I expected…

W-BAD Senate Resolution

A heartfelt thank you to Sen. Brownsberger and staff for helping to make World Benzodiazepine Awareness Day officially recognized beyond the House and into the Massachusetts Senate and Governor’s office this year. Recognition provided a much-needed boost of validation in the substantial community of marginalized, benzodiazepine iatrogenic victims in The Commonwealth and beyond, for which we are grateful.

Massachusetts joins Alabama and Connecticut in 2018 in issuing W-BAD proclamations & resolutions in acknowledgement of the as prescribed harm and ignorance of withdrawal syndromes surrounding this class of drug. (Maryland in previous years). Will Brownsberger
