Katie is the Lead Communications Liaison for W-BAD. She is a multi-award winning and Emmy nominated television host, producer, and journalist, with 16 years of experience in media communications.  Katie has held positions in Florida, Washington D.C, and Chicago at FOX, National Public Radio, Central Florida News 13, CBS Radio, City of Chicago Television, Tribune Broadcasting/CLTV and Weigel Broadcasting/WCIU The “U” in Chicago.  She began radio and television news reporting in her early career and proceeded to create, write, produce and host original television programming in Chicago in the genres of entertainment, restaurants & cooking, health, and most recently community affairs. Katie has a passion for helping those adversely affected by prescribed benzodiazepines and volunteers as much as she is able while currently working in media relations for a Chicago-based company.
