Note: Sometimes, even professionals accidentally use addiction language when describing a problem with dependency. Keep this in mind when watching or reading any educational materials, as some professionals actually know the difference and some do not. It’s a common language faux-pas, but may be one reason why awareness of the problem of prescribed drug dependence and withdrawal syndromes has been oppressed.
